Sick kids...

Erick's fever keeps jumping back and forth from as high as 104 degrees, and Izzie's coughing and sneezing. She brought me the DS she'd been playing and said "Ew! Mom, what's that???" I asked her if she'd maybe sneezed... and she said no. What's your guess?

When wiping it off, it was confirmed to be what I'd thought it was.
Remember the days when your computer screen wasn't sticky with fingerprints, when your books had straight pages instead of the "has been wet" ripple, and when your clothes didn't double as a napkin? And when your electronic games didn't get "boogered"? Yes, my kids are totally worth it, but I'll be saving these pictures to remind them someday anyway.

So sorry you guys have been sick! I was hoping we could get the girls together this week, but guess we should wait--maybe they'll both be healthy at the same time before the end of the year :)

...And you know you're a blogger when you instantly grab the camera at an insane or disgusting moment and think to yourself, "This will make a *great* blog post!" Hope you're well. Love you guys!

I know - so gross! Justin's mortified I posted this one, but I have to admit I totally laughed when she was telling me she didn't remember sneezing or anything... like it just appeared!

Yes, you are a mom and all us mom's appreciate your honesty and feel your pain. Sick days are NO fun and you are the one stuck cleaning up the muck. Hope they get better SOON!

To make you feel better- Trey told me his toes hurt today and after he pulled off his socks, his toenails were so long they were nearly growing into his toes. Nice.

Also, I just picked up a bit of what I thought was granola bar minutes ago and instantly realized it was poop from Katilyn's diaper I just changed. Again, nice.

AND (yes, there is more) I have found Matt more than once up on my bathroom sink using the mirror to help assist him in wiping his bum. I know, I know, nice. And yes, I did scrub down the bathroom after. Twice.

MISS YOU!

Sorry Jen... I hope you got away from the pic in time!

Cheryl, I ALWAYS forget to check the kids' toes when we do the fingernail routine! That's so funny, and I think I'm going to take a look at ours tonight. And the granola bar? I'm honestly having a hard time picturing that one, but I'm glad you picked it up before it was tracked in! And I caught Erick doing the same thing to wipe today in the bathroom at Quizno's. Too funny!

Sorry to push the poop subject even further, but you see we (the girls and I)were eating granola bars and those Quaker granola bites earlier in the day next to the computer. Later I changed Kaitlyn's diaper, yup, right next to the computer (we don't believe in using bathrooms for that purpose around here....) so after I changed her and washed my hands I came back and started picking up. I saw a little chunk of what I thought was leftover breakfast, but then realized I was wrong once I picked it up with my hands and smelled it. OK, that was probably WAY too much info, but I hope that paints a clearer picture! Again, I promise I washed my hands. Twice!

Love that Erick and Matt think alike. Thankfully Matt hasn't pulled that in a public setting that I know of....

We have some of those granola bites in our cupboard, so I can totally picture it now. How funny you picked it up! Once again, I say how lucky it is it didn't just get stepped on! One of my kids stepped in dog poop somewhere recently, and it's really hard to clean up!
