Mullet Man...

So, what would you do if your husband brought home a mullet wig used in his intern skit that day? You'd try it on and put it on all the kids! Unfortunately I only got one to pose for a photo shoot but I'm still working on the others. Handsome, isn't he? We're ready for Talladega! Mullet, bare-chested and missing teeth... we'll just have stop by the temporary tattoo parlor on the way there to complete the transformation. :-)

I also made an important discovery this week - tin foil muffin cups! Our furnished apartment wasn't furnished with muffin tins, so we bought cupcakes for Erick's birthday party and although we're not huge muffin eaters I've strangely missed the ability to make them if I wanted to. I guess it's just the NOT being able to that makes you suddenly wish you could! Then I learned you didn't need a muffin pan anyway, you could just use these handy little deals. We had a muffin week this week, and now I'm pretty well done with them for the rest of our trip, but it somehow felt great to get my fix for less than two dollars.

Erick's also really into telling time these days, especially digital, so he's quite exact with his reports. Tonight he told us it was "fifty-eight minutes after seven." He went on to let us know that meant it was "almost eight-thirty", which is his bedtime. Not almost eight, but almost eight-thirty. I love how kids see the world entirely in their own frame.
