Flowers and more flowers!

I got flowers this year for valentine's day - twice! And they have been so beautiful I just had to share. Both photos - one showing a Stargazer Lilly from a gorgeous bouquet of three colors, and one of the Peruvian lillies were taken this afternoon - here it is March and they're still beautiful!

I LOVE lillies, and have had a little history with them in Justin's and my relationship. He bought me a beautiful bouquet of Tiger Lillies for my birthday soon after we began dating. Then my wedding bouquet was comprised of pink and white Stargazers. Every year I can remember since then I have recieved Lillies from him in some form or bouquet, and the aroma in the house is just heavenly! I think they're much stronger smelling than roses, and thoroughly enjoy them every chance I get.

Well, this Valentine's day I got two chances. :-) We love ProFlowers (no payment for that little advertisement) because the flowers we've gotten there have always been breathtaking and seem to last forever. They arrive in bud form, and are then guaranteed to bloom within 24 hours, which is why I got two this year. The Stargazers hadn't opened yet two days after Valentine's Day, which I didn't mind but really bothered Justin. So one quick phone call and another bouquet was on its way! Now, weeks later we still have both bouquets, every flower has opened on each and I'm sad to think the day will come when our home will again be fresh flower-less. I have to remember it's those times that make what we've enjoyed of late just that much better!

Gorgeous and to have two for the price of one- even better. I love having fresh flowers in the house and while it is rare, when I do get them I wonder why I don't plant more roses or flowers in my yard so I can enjoy them more often.
