Tuesday Tell-all: Things I Love

For this tuesday's tell-all we are supposed to write out a list of the things we absolutely la-la-la-love! The list excludes the obvious things we'd all write, like family, church, friends, and focuses on those "other" things... so here we go, in no order of importance...

1. Having a King-sized bed
2. Flavored olive oils - especially garlic
3. Really good dark chocolate
4. The smell of freshly-baked bread
5. Our fireplace
6. Sour patch kids
7. Ikea
8. Living close enough to school to walk! (Erick's and Justin's both!)
9. Watching Justin play with our kids
10. Playing with my kids
11. Creating things in photoshop - scrapbooks, flyers, invitations...
12. Taking pictures
13. Going to Izzie's gymnastics classes
14. Erick's smile when he sees me at kindergarten
15. Belly laughs from my kiddies
16. Warm jammies
17. Fixing my girls' hair (what they'll let me do!)
18. Gardening and watching things grow
19. Rearranging furniture and home decor every so often
20. Listening to Erick read
21. Reading scriptures with my kids - we have the greatest conversations!
22. Being able to visit grandmas and grandpas so easily.
23. Sleeping through the night, when it happens!
24. Reading a good book from beginning to end in one day.
25. Shopping online for the best deals and then getting packages in the mail!
26. Shopping in stores... Anything from Target to Williams-Sonoma... I love to look.
27. Finding things I love on really good SALES.
28. Cooking beautiful meals
29. Erick's "thumbs up" sign
30. Izzie's fearless nature - she's THRILLED that Spiderwick Chronicles is PG and can't wait to see it!
31. Audrey's princess tendencies - we might as well throw away anything that isn't PINK in her wardrobe - she won't wear it.
32. Justin's new cell phone which has enabled me to stalk him now throughout his days in ways before impossble. ;-)
33. Big, sparkly mylar balloons
34. Legos
35. Lillies
36. The smell of freshly bathed and jammied kids
37. Reconnecting with old friends
38. Doing my nails
39. Hot water that last for a decently long shower
40. Living close enough to walk to church!

So there are probably many more, but that's probably long enough. :-)

I love it. I think the king sized bed is the greatest. I didn't put that one on my list, but I should have! It is a great thing!!!

Thanks for letting me steal the idea!

I've always thought about getting a King Size bed (we have a queen), but Clark and I are cuddlers and we always end up snuggled in the middle with extra room on the sides. I guess one good thing about a king size is that there is room for the kids too. But our kids rarely join us in bed.

I think you are one of the few people who love dark chocolate. I can't stand it. It's a shame, because it's way better for you than milk chocolate. You should try some of the chocolate from over here.

I miss my fireplace and can't wait to get back to it.

I too love to see Clark playing with our kids. Everyone is so happy when that happens.

I'm glad you like fixing your girls' hair. That's one thing that scares me about having a girl. What if I can't do her hair up cute. I'm lucky if I can get the boys' hair combed.

So many fun things that I'd like to add to my list. Thanks for sharing!

Kori - I LOVE having a king-sized bed, and I should have mentioned how much I LOVE the one we've borrowed(?) from Cheryl's parents! I love that early on Saturdays the kids can just crawl in with me and watch morning cartoons some days so I can catch a little more sleep. :-)

I LOVE Dark Chocolate, but any kind of chocolate is better if you don't buy hershey's or nestle. Actually, I've learned because Justin's going to work for Nestle that they actually make decent chocolate overseas. You'll have to watch for some for me. It's interesting to me that they sell better stuff outside the US, but that all we get is the waxt stuff. Apparently Nestle Crunch bars are still the biggest candy bar here of any other... weird, huh? Don't worry, you can get some pretty good stuff here if you look. We love Lindt truffles. Target has some good chocolates.

You'll do great fixing your girls' hair! I had to add it to my list not because we do anything much besides ponytails, but because they finally have enough hair for me to do anything with! :-)

Thanks Sonja!

Tiffany, I got your comment but can't find a way to publish it without your email address, so I'm just holding on to it. I LOVE hearing from you, though, and hope to see you sometime soon! I think reconnecting with friends is one of my FAVORITE things, honestly, and it's fun to be able to keep tabs a little on two of you at once. ;-)

I just checked my permissions and your mom is on the "reader" list, which means she's signed on before. I re-invited her once after she e-mailed me. I can invite her again if needs be.

Love your list! I too could not live without my king size bed. We only got it a year and a half ago and can't believe we slept on a queen for ten years. Way too small, esp. when Rich is 6' 6"!

Love my fireplace. How else is Santa supposed to get in? And could eat way too many sour patch kids. They are good! I too love to shop and often stay away from Target because I buy too much!

I could live with out dark chocolate and olive oil and while I do love Legos, I hate to step on them with bare feet. Major Ouch!

So fun to learn even more about your kiddos. They each have such fun personalities! Thanks for sharing!

Just read the other comments after I wrote mine and I'm laughing that you got one of my parents' mattresses. Oh my goodness, what a wild time they have had buying so many different ones I can't even begin to say. My dad's back is always hurting and he always thinks it's the mattress, but it really is from over use from work when he is constantly bending over at the office and deliverying babies. BUT, all the beds they have purchased are wonderful and have hardly been slept on. If I had been closer I'd have grabbed one myself. We just got ours from Sam's Club. Glad it's been off good use!!!
