Gross!

We've been clearing out the overgrown bushes in our backyard and have found numerous "treasures" in the meantime. For example, Justin's been counting the balls we've discovered and the number is above 120! Anyway, Erick found an old plastic chewtoy shaped like a dog bone this afternoon and unfortunately I didn't think much of it until later on when I found it inside the house. Here's how the conversation went from there:

Me: Erick, will you please take that outside, it's really dirty

Erick: But mom.... (complains)

Me: Erick, some dog has been chewing on that, and it's covered with dirt! Take it otuside right now...

Isabel interrupts me: No mom, the dog hasn't been chewing on it (I assume meaning the neighbor's dog they adore), Audrey has!

Eeeeewwww, GROSS!

Silly kids. Doesn't that make you wonder what kinds of things you put in your mouth when you were little? I fed my older sister guinea pig poop once when playing 'open your mouth and close your eyes and I'll give you a big suprise'. hee hee :)

Oh, this is an old familiar tune in my house! Why do they do that stuff? Are they really that gross or are they trying for the shock factor? ((Shudder))
