Christmas Card Frenzy

I love doing christmas cards and letters every year, and our card list has grown steadily year after year until the cost has forced me to switch to doing about half and half emails and snail mail cards. We typically receive only a small fraction of the number we send, so sometimes I wonder if it's worth it, but without a doubt every year I hear from some wonderful old friend and we get caught up as a result of the cards, so I continue every year stamping the mounds in hope of hearing this year from yet another one.

So, to help cut down the costs I've been getting a lot of use out of my photoshop program lately, and have decided to make our own christmas cards this year. I've had so much fun with it I had to post a few of my first designs. It's kind of fun because you can just send the jpg files into shutterfly or wherever and have them printed. I'm still working on something for our real christmas cards, so watch the mail after Thanksgiving for my favorite! :-)

Love all the cards! You have a real talent! Mailing Christmas cards are a long, painful and expensive process, but it's always so fun to see peoples family every year. I too and debating how many to send out now I have a blog. we'll see.

Laura, you are brillant, creative and wonderful! I saw Mandy's website where she is selling her layouts, and I thought that if I only had the knowledge and talent, I could do my own! Look at you and all you are doing. The thought of Christmas cards is daunting, but there still is such an overwhelming excitement at pulling cards out of the mailbox and seeing those familiar faces of friends from across the miles and years. This year with the budget so tight, I don't know how many we will do...but after school ends, I know that your family will always be on our Christmas Card list!
