Hula Girls

In April I was lucky enough to take a dream trip to Oahu with my Grandma, my Aunts, and all my girl cousins. There were 17 of us all together staying in a beautiful home staring at the ocean for 10 days! Tamra treated everyone upon arrival with these beautiful leis as we got off the airplane. We were TOTAL tourists, and it was so awesome! I'll refrain from any lei jokes here, but rest assure, cliche' though they may be, they were used.

The whole crew, fresh off the flight!

My mom, my sister, my grandma and I took a harbor cruise one morning - the views of the island were gorgeous, of course.

After the water trip we went back to kaialua ranch and took a four-wheeler expedition. We were quite a group! One of my cousins was asked out by one of the guides - we thought it was kind of cute until we learned later he was MARRIED! Creepy!

"Jeep Jail". The punishment for driving outside the lines. We laughed and thought it was a joke until we learned from another group one of the girls in their group just couldn't get the hang of her machine and ended up there for most of the ride. Beware Jeep Jail.

One of the pictures I took. I had to leave the camera around my neck and aim as best I could without our guides noticing. Taking pictures while driving qualified you for Jeep Jail. But it was all so beautiful!

The summitt of our trip. Gorgeous! Some of the girls saw whales breaching from here. I was too busy taking photos incognito - serves me right for breaking the rules I guess. :-)

We played a lot of fun games back at the house, including a rousing game of Butt Charades. Try it at your next party, it was hilarious!

Although we stayed on the north shore, we did make it to Waikiki one day to explore the beach, the shops, and for some Naughty Hula Pie. I totally need to recreate that one. But I have a feeling eating it on the beach with your toes in the sand would be hard to replicate, and the company would be impossible to replace. Thanks Grandma, and thank you girls for the good time!

A girls trip to Hawaii. How awesome is that! Kudos to all those hubbys for taking the kids.

What a fun time all together with your mom, Shelly, aunts and cousins.

I haven't been to Hawaii in 13 years. It's on my list of must do when Rich gets done. It's amazing how LONG that thing is getting...
