Today was "Circus" day in the kindergarten class, and Erick decided to go as the strong man. We padded his arms with Justin's socks and threw on his pirate shirt over the top. Then Justin and I blew up four black balloons and attached two at a time through a toilet paper roll wrapped in duct tape. Then Justin labeled the balloons with a metallic grey marker at 500lbs a piece. Erick was thrilled, and I thought he was pretty cute, too! When he returned from school and I asked how things went, of course it was fine and he didn't seem to remember much about the day, but I talked with his teacher later this evening (about an unrelated issue, I'm not THAT psychotic) and she told me Erick really played up the weights at school, so apparently he was really a ham. It's hard to imagine, isn't it? All he remembered about the day was the popcorn snack. Typical male. ;-)

Wow! You pulled out all the stops! I am impressed with all the details in his costume. So fun. I may refer back to this post to copy in the future!
But really, when can a cool strong man costume with ballons, socks, a pirate shirt, toilet paper rolls and duct tape compare to a baggie of popcorn. Seriously.
Thanks for the laugh! Details are a bit harder for most of the male gender!
I can envision a great FHE lesson with this costume. You know, "scripture power"? He looks so cute and I think makes a VERY handsome and believable strong man.
