Erick has lost TWO more teeth, bringing the grand total to four already, and he's only in kindergarten! He lost the first one somewhere in the house, so when he lost this one he kept it safe in the "rooty toothy" tooth holder he got from his kindergarten teacher. The tooth fairy left him a note with his Susan B. Anthonys explaining the she had found the first tooth and had it safe with her. I think he felt a lot better knowing both teeth were safe and accounted for, and is thrilled with his two shiny gold coins.
Izzie loves the electronic coloring book game on the DS, and it's kind of a lifesaver on some days. I spent the afternoon cleaning my room - no, REALLY cleaning my room.... sorting papers and files, moving the furniture, you know... THAT kind of cleaning. The kids didn't seem to mind. They make me smile all the time with the things the find to entertain themselves.Audrey is often the most creative, though. This is her favorite skirt - sometimes dress - and she'll wear it all day long when she finds it. I missed the picture of her wearing sunglasses and Erick's t-ball medal as a necklace, but it was quite an ensemble. Here, she was standing on the ottoman ready for her next big superman style jump to the couch, binki and all. They fingerpainted just before that, so a lof the blue around the outside of that binki is part of the non-toxic bucket of fun. A face only a mother could love!
Finally, at the end of the day dad gave Erick and Izzie a brownie before bed, but afraid they'd spill crumbs on our newly-cleaned floor, this was the scene I encountered. Funny kids, funny dad, just another day in the life. :-)

These are my favorite kinds of posts. Just the little bits that make up life.
Congrats to Erick on all the lost teeth. He and Matt would get along quite nicely. He lost his front tooth this week. I'm working on that post.
Izzie is so cute. I too love my Gameboy. It got me through bed rest with Josh and Matt. Sad but true.
Audry is so cute! We'll have to get her with my Brynn. What a dressed up pair they would make!
And the last picture was perfect. Sometimes you've gotta pay the price to get the goodies. Great idea for saving the newly cleaned floor!
Sorry Audrey- I do know how to spell your name, I just can't type!
I too like to see the everyday things, because that's what makes our lives real.
So teeth are going for a Susan B. Anthony these days, huh? I guess that's what inflation is all about.
