Today was the big BYU-Utah football game, and man was it a good one! It was interesting to think today that if we were still in Missouri it would have been just another day, and we may have heard about the game later - but probably not. It was a real nail-biter, though, and a fantastic way to close out the season! Here are a few pictures to commemorate our final home game this year - it's been fun to have tickets!
Just a couple of old fogies hanging out in the student section. The MBAs get tickets together so it's been fun to be near the same group every game, and to get to know people a little better!

Okay, here's a little about the game. Talk about a sleeper! Nothing but field goal points until Utah finally pulled ahead one point with 1:30 left on the clock. I admit it, I was freezing and ready to go home. And honestly, we were right behind the goal post and I was certain I'd cry if I had to be there to watch the Utah fans bring it down. (I HATE that "tradition".) But we stayed, and on 4th and 18 pass we got a break! BYU charged the ball back down the field and scored a touchdown of their own - the crowd went nuts!!! The picture here is the attempt at the 2-point conversion afterward. If you look, it's a pretty fun shot - the QB just let go of the ball and you can see it spiraling just inside the goal post, the receiver with his arms out waiting for it. He caught it(!) and with less than a minute on the clock BYU clinched the game, the rivalry, and the division title this year. It was amazing!
The BYU fans rushing the field after the clock ran out. The announcers seemed to be the only people concerned with keeping the students back, as security did nothing, but it was really an amazing game! I love college football... we attended a Rams game in Saint Louis, and while it was fun, college really seems to have a level of heart to it the professional leagues seem to lack. Anyway... the final score was 17-10.
Way to GO COUGARS!

My parents are visiting us here and my dad was really upset about not watching the game (Clark and I had no idea it was going on). We were playing cards while the game was going on and my dad was getting the updates online. The card game took us forever because my dad had to give us the play-by-play.
It seemed like a fun and exciting game. I'm glad you guys had a good time.
You had some seriously good seats. You photos make it look like you were on the field! So glad you were there and what a dramatic ending. We had it on here and I was screaming when they made the 4th and 18 play. Incredible.
Go Cougs!
